Film, shade and finish are separate choices.

SunTek Carbon

A carbon film option for appearance, glare reduction and solar control. Compare the exact shade’s specifications with the ceramic options.

SunTek CIR

A ceramic film line with a range of shades. Review the selected film’s solar and infrared measurements before comparing it with Carbon or Evolve.

SunTek Evolve

SunTek’s higher-performance ceramic line. Its infrared rejection claim is a specific test metric; it does not mean the film rejects that percentage of all heat.

Read the numbers in context.

Visible light transmission · VLT

VLT describes the visible light passing through the tested glass-and-film combination. A darker shade has a lower VLT. The film’s product name alone does not establish your vehicle’s final reading.

Solar, infrared and UV performance

TSER describes total solar energy rejection. SIRR and IRER are infrared measurements with different definitions; UV rejection describes a separate wavelength range. Compare the same metric, film shade and test basis.

SunTek distinguishes SIRR from IRER in its published test notes. Review the manufacturer’s specifications and definitions for the exact film. Tint does not guarantee a particular cabin temperature, fuel saving or security outcome.

New York: check the finished glass.

New York generally requires at least 70% visible light transmission through the windshield and front side windows. The rear window also needs 70% unless both outside mirrors provide a clear view behind the vehicle. Rear side windows on vehicles labeled “Passenger Car” must also meet 70%.

These requirements apply to the finished glass, not just the film’s listed shade. Factory glass already reduces light transmission, so adding film can bring it below the limit. Vehicle classification and any approved exemption matter. Review the current requirements before booking.

Choose an installation finish.

Daily Driver Finish

The lower-cost finish allows more minor cosmetic imperfections. Review the app’s current finish description so you know what is included.

Industry Standard Finish

More installation time and tighter cosmetic workmanship standards. The scope and finish criteria should be clear before you book.

Neither finish means a flawless result. Temporary moisture or haze during curing should be distinguished from workmanship concerns. Follow the supplied instructions for window use and cleaning, and contact the shop if something does not look right.

Check the scope. Choose when you’re ready.
